ACTIVITIES OF THE SPECIAL SCHOOL

St. Guanella Anbagam Special School is indeed happy to render our service to the needy and special children. We have different schedules for Special children. We have multi disabilities of the students such as physically and mentally challenged, handicapped, blind, deaf and dump. We have appointed teachers who have completed Special B.Ed, physiotherapist, speech therapist, nurses and care takers.

OUR ROUTINE ACTIVITIES IN NUTSHELL ARE

• Special education(Identifying Colors, Numbers, Identifying Letters, Names of the Trees, And Stories with the Pictures)
• Occupational therapy

• Daily living skills (Eating and drinking, toileting, brushing, dressing)
• Recreational therapy (Music, song, dance and games)
• Gardening & Animal Therapy
• Personal maintenance activities
• Giving a hair dress
• Giving bath
• Self-help care activities

VOCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Now we have established one door mat machine, which is going on well. Students are very much interested in learning and producing door mats. We are also planning to buy two more machines for the vocational activities which will be help full for our children.
