Yesuvanam was happy to host a celebration for differently-abled children with the help of the Guanellian Lay Movement. This grand celebration was on February 16th for 300 special children from the Sivagangai special schools. The chief guests were very Rev. Fr. Joseph Lourdu Raja, Vicar General of the Sivagangai Diocese; Mr. P. Saravanakumar, DDAWO, Sivagangai; Mr. P. Abdul Kapur, Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District; Rev. Fr. Amalan, Director of Vianney Pastoral Centre; Mrs. Leemarose Martin, Chairman Martin Groups of Companies, Coimbatore; Mr. Sedukumanan, Chairman, Soka Ikeda College of Art and Science for Women; and Mr. Siva Kumar, Managing Director, Magizhchi Real Promoters.

The GLM provided tea and snacks for the children. Cultural programs were presented in which all the special children participated with full enthusiasm and proved their talents. The chief guests were very impressed by the children’s program. Special children were felicitated by the chief guests during their talks. During the celebration we paid tribute to our deceased confrere Fr. Maria Balayesu. Special children were very happy by this event. A food carrier was given to each institution for their needs. The celebration came to an with delicious dinner served to all the children.
